Why? Becuase I love self-punishment, obviously. Seriously, though; I'm going back because I'm going to be attending the 3rd Annual Mediterranean FUE Workshop hosted by Dr. Koray Erdogan and Asmed. I'm leaving this afternoon, hopping on a jet plane and Dr. Erdogan was generous enough to invite me to the conference and allow me access to any and all doctors that are willing to be interviewed on camera. So here is your chance to get involved.
I'll be asking some questions of my own but I want to present your questions as well. I can't promise who will answer your question or if anyone I interview will answer it at all but as long as your questions are fair and respectful I'll present them on your behalf on camera. I emailed Bm about asking if we can see pictures of patients donor area's shaved down after 2500 plus Fue case's.
Maybe you could video some to illustrate how it looks close up.

Hi Remzi,

I'm not sure who "BM" is that you refer but questions like these should be left to emails and phone calls. The conference is not going to have patients with their heads shaved to show donor areas that I'm aware of, but I could be wrong. If I do see some cases like this however I doubt I'll be able to document them simply because recording devices of any kind are strictly prohibited in the surgical areas. I wil be simply interviewing doctors that agree to be on carera and I'll pose some of the questions asked here and on the other forums where I've set up similar postings.

Having been to Turkey many times. I think the reputable Turkey Clinics need to get the message out that Turkey is a safe and friendly country.

Most citys particularly Izmir, Antlaya and Istanbul are quite westernised. Waiting Staff in Restaurants and Hotels are very friendly people. Driving in the cities is quite an experience though.

There is a bit of a negative image of Turkey recently due to its proximity to Syria.

Only my opinion but I feel this could put off some people from considering a reputable Clinic in Turkey.

Yes, I agree and that is one of the reasons I started the documenatary series discussed in another thread. Being Ramadan right now the traffic is not quite so bad as the same trip that took 2 hours last month took only 35 minutes this time around.

I've got a few doctors lined up for some quick Q&A sessions but I don't plan on lugging my camera gear around on this entire trip so if you have questions for me to ask now is the time to present them.

If I was considering Turkey. Other than the FUE specific questions. I would ask;-

How many patients do you have per day?

Who are the Technicians? A little background info goes a long way. There is one Clinic on here that gives info on their website.

If I'm not happy with the results. What happens? I live 2000 miles away. How is a particular Clinic going to help me.

Do your Technicians speak English?

Punch sizes? What size are they using?

It's been a really busy time here in Istanbul and I've got some thoughts to share in an upcoming blog post.
Dr. Erdogan has put together a real winner of a workshop and his entire team are a great to deal with. I've been working with one of the technicians on a small project that I hope to see implemented soon. The surgeries were great and I feel honored to have been included in the activities. Meeting new doctors and reconnecting with old friends, doctor's I've known for years has been a real pleasure.

Hey B! I'm glad we were able to catch up as well. I hope to see you in Chicago in September too. Were you able to get in to all of the surgeries? I saw the parts that mattered to me, the extractions but I didn't go back in for the incision making side of things as often as I could have as I didn't think I'd learn anything since I've already seen it all. Besides, there was too much going on upstairs

Hi Joe, I watched the surgeries, extractions and some of the incision/planting. It was a good workshop with some interesting discussions.
