Bigmac I couldn't get that link to work.

So I m not sure of the product but would be very interested in reading about it. I was reading Michael Colgan s work long before fat burners came on to the market. How ephenderine, aspirin, and caffeine had this incredible synergistic effect towards fat burning. I had no idea at the time that just that little blurb of information would create multi millionaires over night ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦.guess my mind just doesn t work that way. That market took off in the 90 s until people started dying and then it was squashed but those that were in the business made their money by then so they could care less.

Now here is where it gets really interesting so prospective ht patients pay attention. Michael Colgan was not only a nutritionist/author he would write articles for a magazine named Muscular Development . Now Muscular Development was owned by Twinlabs at the time which is a very well know supplement manufacturer. This magazine had tons of ads for Twinlabs products and the articles written by Colgan kind of persuaded the reader to believe certain substances had certain properties and effects making the reader believe by purchasing these products they would experience these effects. Colgan seemed to have very strong connections to Twinlabs. You would have never known Twinlabs owned the publication.

If you go down the line and read the history you will find many of these supplement companies own the information systems magazines etc. One right after another down the line. Young guys simply do not understand how these systems work so you will see young guys still wet behind the ears arguing about supplement X and opposed to supplement Y when they don t realize it is all complete crap.

I could write page after page here of history and all the connections and for most jaws would drop. The supplement industry in general is completely corrupted and profit driven. Anyone who was honest has been driven out for the most part especially in the area of information systems. The last one s to go were Peary and Mabel Radar with Ironman magazine. They could no longer compete as the industry whores took over and the consumer in the end suffers.

Here is just one example of one supplement and one information provider now multiple that by just about every supplement out there and one can see the corruption is huge. But are you going to be able to convince some young guy of the truth.............nope..........just about as easy as telling someone with cancer that chemotherapy and radiation is horseshit and strictly about profit. People sometimes just need to learn on their own.

In 1990 Connelly came up with MET-Rx, and joined forces with a great marketer named Bill Phillips, who went on to create EAS, sold to Abbott Labs for $320M. Bill had the trust of the consumers at the time because of his Anabolic Reference Guide, Natural Supplement Review, and then Muscle Media 2000. The ARG earned Bill trust in the sports nutrition space as he wrote about how to spot counterfeit steroids and even how to smuggle them into the country. In the 1990s steroids were prevalent in society and sports. The NSR was a book which provided lab analysis of all the supplements in the space, and was pitched as a consumer watchdog that would have unbiased reviews aimed at protecting them from bad supplements. The first issue was legit, but low and behold, the second issue spoke of the wonders of MET-Rx. MET-Rx was claimed to cause nutrient partitioning so that calories went to building muscle instead of putting on fat, and MET-Rx was anabolic and anti-catabolic just like a steroid. Nobody knew at the time that the magazine was actually just a clever front for marketing MET-Rx through what appeared to be 3rd party analysis. Later it was revealed that Bill Phillips was actually a partner of Connellys, and the two were making substantial profit from these unsuspecting consumers. This time around, instead of MET-Rx and the magical ingredient, Metamyosyn (which he paid someone to formulate both), he now uses Body-Rx and Whey Growth Factor Extract (WGFE), an ingredient that the foreign manufacturer hes in bed with, Murry Goulburn Nutritionals, is dumping in the trash by the metric ton.

We know that putting on muscle often feels like an impossible challenge. At Men's Life & Health, we've evaluated numerous fad muscle programs and it seems like everything is expensive and nothing really works. The reason why most programs fail is because they impose unrealistic restrictions on your daily life. Some tell you to eat tons of protein while others emphasize the importance of carbohydrates. In either case, you have to make drastic changes to your regular diet. In this special report, we take an in-depth look at a new and promising trend that we think is easy to use and yields real results.

The product we're talking about is Testocore Advanced. You may have seen this supplement in the news or on TV as the completely safe and powerful "secret" used by celebrities and body builders around the world. Today, we are leaking their secret and teaching you how to get muscular celebrity bodies for free. In this special report, you'll learn about these two promising new products, Testocore Advanced and No2 Surge.

Testocore Advanced's high anti-oxidant content and powerful strength gaining properties make it a muscle-building machine. If you're feeling skeptical right now, you're not alone. When we first learned about this fat-burning/muscle-building combo our fad radar went off right away.
Despite our doubts about Testocore Advanced, the countless success stories reported worldwide made us take a second look at this trend. What particularly interested us was the fact that these people saw results without having to significantly change their lifestyles or eating habits. Combine Testocore Advanced with No2 Surge and you've created an automatic muscle building machine
At Men's Life & Health, we decided to try the Testocore Advanced and No2 Surge diet for ourselves. For the test, I wanted to be the guinea pig because I was training to be in a fitness competition and needed to slim down and gain many pounds of muscle. To try out the Testocore Advanced and No2 Surge I decided to get a free trial of Testocore Advanced Although there are many muscle supplement offers available, I chose this site because they are one of the most credible and trustworthy suppliers on the market. While most Testocore Advanced products use lower concentrations of the strength gaining extract, this supplier has one of the concentrated and purest products on the market. Everyone at Men's Life & Health agreed that this product would give me the best results for my test.
The free trial bottle of Testocore Advanced was delivered in a few days from ordering and with surprisingly inexpensive shipping. Testocore Advanced is one of the most concentrated and purest muscle building products on the market. It was our shared opinion that this would give me the most accurate results for my test.

Men s Health ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦.hmmmm ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦what can I say about Joe and Ben Weider that has not already been written. Yes they did create a billion dollar empire, so good for them ¦ ¦ ¦..just keeping it positive.

For the young guys and girls out there. Magazines are product catalogs they are not sources of information. Yes they appear to be sources of information but that is not the way it really works. If you are reading a woman s magazine carefully analyze the article contents with the product placement throughout the publication same goes for Men s magazines.

Testocore- Magnesium, D-Aspartic acid, Zinc, B6, Tribulus Terrestris
NO2 Surge- L-Arginine, L-Citurlline, L-Argininie Monohydrocholride, L-Arginine, Alpha, Ketoglutarate

The above products are a complete waste of money. I do enjoy the new product names each year maybe I will come out with Jacked Fuel or as I stated in another post Whey More Hair my special combination of whey along with growth factors that will give you a luxurious head of hair. Young guys will buy it so fast I will not be able to keep the shelves stocked. Just add some nice pictures along with benign claims like luxurious hair, thicker feel, etc saying a lot but saying nothing. The point here is not to be mean but to wake young guys up to the fact that the guys selling crap are smarter then you and they know how to press just the right button.

Yes Arginine help with protein synthesis but it is better consumed through foods. In fact Almonds are extremely high in that specific amino acid. Yes L-Citurlline will give you a hard on that just will not seem to go away and that is why when a normal male eats watermelon this problem usually occurs, much better to eat the actual food and include as much of the rind as possible where it is mostly concentrated. Tribulus has been promoted for about 30 years now. The supplement companies love pulling something from the Eastern Block in this case Bulgaria. There is a mystique that easily lures the young ones at least back in the day ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦..but reality is they were able to beat the steroid test and there was no secret herb that the Eastern block nations were using. Even Kettlebell training which has become a multi million dollar business was started here by Pavel. Marketed as some type of secret Russian training ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦.lol ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦I can t believe where it is today.

OMG they are all multi millionaires ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦.maybe it s time to stop helping people and start making some of this money.

You can't trademark real food...................so even though it is superior there is zero money in it...............absolute zero beyond a reasonable profit.

I will be 52 soon and I still have a way to go as far as dropping my weight and it is just a matter to time. But the formula is eating real food. This picture was taken last week. I feel just a little uncomfortable being too light but pursuing my goals requires another 15 lbs. For me it's easy and everything becomes easy when you have some knowledge. It's aquiring the knowledge that is the hard part.

I thought as much, marketing hype but it will make plenty buy it.
You are lucky being able to source natural foods locally, in the city's it's a different story, in the Uk any food they class as healthy usually has an inflated price tag.

Here is an interesting little tidbit. A full page ad in magazines like Men s Health run about $200,000 US and higher as you get closer to the cover.

Well the hair restoration business pulls in about $2B or close to it so some companies like Bosley with revenues of $100M can afford that type of marketing but being able to afford something doesn t make it better or something that is good for you. The next revenue giant will be the robotic thing regardless if anyone thinks something else is better. You simply can t stop that kind of money and people will believe regardless and in the end it s their problem. Personally I find it interesting not just as a person who has be affected by the ht industry but it s interesting to watch how industries are consolidated and taken over. People are viscous when it comes to money and what they will do.

The supplement industry is much larger at about $30B, much more money to be made there and that is exactly why you see more supplement ads as opposed to hair restoration ads but I m sure you will eventually see the robotic ads in men s magazines as the guys running things are direct to consumer marketers and in my opinion they will have complete control. Almost like McDonalds where everyone underneath is just a franchisee paying their fees back to big daddy. I laugh when I see the follicle counter they have on their website which is now up to 3M follicles. It reminds me exactly of McDonalds when I was growing up. I always noticed the sign from the backseat of my father s car. 5M then 10M, then 100M on and on. Now they just have a standard Billions and Billions served or at least they use to, I certainly don t eat that crap. Those with a true appreciation for food know there is something much better.

In my opinion as the markets for an industry get bigger sometimes the deceit is greater. The Cancer industry is about $230B which is 100 times bigger than hair restoration. The fast growing pharmaceutical segment being Chemotherapy at about $50B. That makes it about 25 times greater than the hair restoration business and they spend plenty of money to get most to believe but the way they do it is even more deceptive in my opinion. It s the last one most should worry about because the first 2 are elective choices. The last one requires having the right information at the right time with very little time for research. I would imagine 90%+ never get the good information and for that they pay the ultimate price. Doesn t matter if the share price of your stock is $500 for a person like Steve Jobs as an example ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦.. information is much more valuable sometimes and having it at the right time is even more crucial.

This is in fact why you want to choose food now and choose the right food as the body is meant to work with food. Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food Hippocrates ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦..lol ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦he would never make it in the healthcare industry if he had to make a living today. He would be booted out, license revoked and could very well be sitting in jail because he would have failed to understand how the system works.

Those that provide bad information usually end up getting bad information themselves in someway down the line so it usually all evens out.

I appreciate the opportunity to post here. Gives me a chance to write and blab........you wouldn't want to be in a room where I actually talking................lol...............

BTW my brother was trying to market a product about 10 years ago so that is where I learned about some of the magazine rates. He ended up going with a small circulation martial arts magazine and even that price seem high for the circulation number. Most don't realize how much money there is to be made in being an information provider but even more important most don't realize the power they hold.

If anyone is interested in learning more about the supplement industry I would suggest "Muscle Smoke and Mirrors" it is a 3 volume set with the 3rd volume still in the publication process. Gives a good look at the history and all the players behind the scenes. When you understand history it becomes easier to understand the present. It's an extensive amount of reading but worth it as many industries are similar so ht patients can learn just as much regardless of if they have no interest in the supplement business.

Since I was actually watching the industry all these years I ended up getting lots of laughs as I read.

I m not completely against all supplements for instance the company where I buy my shampoo here in the States Dr Ron in CT. He is a smaller operation although starting to get larger but he sells some products that have plenty of history and empirical evidence behind them. For instance fermented cod liver oil ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦but you tell me what young guy is going to buy that product. Unless you have a roided out bodybuilder on the label talking about how he grew 3 inches on his biceps and 6 inches on his penis young guys are not going to take a bite of that apple ¦..lol ¦ ¦.. But he stays true to his principles and that is something I can respect.

Doing the wrong thing sometimes makes people lots of money and sure I suppose I could do that as we all think we can be the best at something and I think whatever I pursue I always put in a tremendous amount of effort so effort is not the problem it s being able to sleep at night knowing I did the right thing. My brother s product was a complete flop ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦.so much for doing the right thing ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦.but it doesn t always turn out that way.

Like I wrote young guys buy all this crap because they are dumb asses and we can say that because many of us were dumb asses when we were younger. Maybe it wasn t the ht choice but maybe something else. We need to count our blessings we were not the guy driving 100 miles an hour, intoxicated and ended up a quadriplegic or something worse. We take too much risk at a younger age and we all wish we had those more experienced to slap us upside the head and set us straight.

We have to become like the mother lion protecting the cubs because if the male gets hungry enough and there is no other food to be had that bastard will eat them for dinner and not even blink an eye.

Very reasonable expectation and possible without the use of both drugs or supplements.

I have competed in "Body For Life"..............been a few years though but I am kind of familiar with just how low one can go with bodyfat while maintaining as much lean tissue as possible. Being healthy and in shape at any age is possible and it's not so much about deprivation but about making better choices and having some knowledge.

Most young guys fail to obtain the right knowledge in my opinion because they are constantly hammered by marketing.

I have been in much better shape then this picture you posted BM and it can easily be obtained for someone in there 50's and 60's. I actually had to slow my own bodyfat loss down over the winter as I was constantly feeling cold and it was getting uncomfortable for me especially if I needed to work outside. We did have an unusually brutal winter here in Chicago but still having low bodyfat when it's really cold makes it even hard to sleep.

I like to tell people weight loss starts with turning off the TV and maybe throwing it out the window. I also always tell young guys to stop reading fitness magazines as they are product catalogs and one way forms of communication that have a programming effect. This is why it is so important for those with different points of view outside the ht industry to post to the forums..............otherwise they just become a form of fitness magazine in electronic form with just lots of nice pictures and people selling stuff.........many with intentions of only self profit and it too also becomes a form of programming. I just don't want to see that happen to some young guy, they should be made more aware as it is happening so they can make better choices. My way of righting the wrong that was done to me.

2 very good books worth reading are:

The Four Arguments For The Elimination of Televsion "Jerry Mander"

Remotely Controlled (How Television Is Damaging Our Lives) "Dr Aric Sigman"

Thanks for posting that picture BM you have inspired me to get in shape over the Summer months..................I think I can do it ;)

BTW that first book I noted was written back in the late 70's. I really love those types of books because as you read it you realize the author was actually predicting the future 30-40 years later. Now if you read it back in the 70's you would have probably said to yourself this guy doesn't know what he is talking about...............but if you read it today your jaw would drop with just how accurate his words actually were. Sometimes one has to stop and really take the time to listen to those in the world who have a very small voice and might be saying something different then the majority regardless of the subject......................always gather as many points of view as possible.

Actually I do believe that can be done in 4 weeks in fact I know for sure it is possible. But supplements really do not have much to do with it.

Best wishes on becoming healthier along the way ;)

Here you go from a book and not a magazine

Uric acid is directly related to bodyfat and insulin resistance so it should be absolutely no surprise that heavy beer drinking is associated with diabetes and massive obesity. Beer is very high in RNA and what makes the beer belly unique to drinking beer and not other alcoholic beverages. Beer also drastically raises triglycerides, raises blood pressure, fatty liver and metabolic syndrome. Uric acid is also associated with leptin resistance which makes losing bodyfat even more difficult.

Trappist monks were known for becoming obese as beer would stimulate their appetite without having the sensation of fullness.

Giving up beer is just one step in helping to lower your uric acid levels.

Here is what makes the whole subject complicated and understanding so much more is crucial. How does television shape your choices when it comes to beer for instance? How do you friends help shape your choices when it comes to beer? How does advertising affect your friends choices which in turn affects your choices as you feel some pressure to go along with the group? One can go on and on here down several roads and this is only one point and one product. Once a person a gets a clearer view of the bigger picture it becomes easier but it does require one to have a great deal of information.

The importance of cholesterol in the healing process cannot be understated in my opinion. That is in fact why when you are wounded your body goes into hyper drive producing more of it, but it €™s much better to obtain it with a natural food diet. If you find this hard to believe I suggest you read at a minimum at least a dozen books on the subject and decades of research.

Something that has helped me as a repair patient over the years has been my philosophy. For example I read €œAwaken the Giant Within € almost 30 years ago and I have always applied the CANI principal €œconstant and never ending improvement €. This has also applied to my diet as it is mostly performance based. I just add something here and there every so often and over time you end up with massive change as massive change in a short period of time often ends in failure.

This year I am building a chicken coop so that I can have control of the bird €™s diet. The lady that had the absolute best eggs because the grain ration was almost nonexistent recently passed away. I would like the eggs to be higher in saturated fat as opposed to monounsaturated fat which would be too long to explain but much better for healing in my opinion.

I have never been formally trained as a carpenter and never really did it for a living but I knew as a young boy that I could do that job. I could look at something maybe a picture and I knew I could build it with a hammer in my hand. It €™s kind of like that with hair transplantation. The best doctors can just view something for long enough and they become great because it €™s something they were born to do. And those with a tremendous amount of patience can actually go on to be great teachers with the right students. Because in order to be a really good teacher you need patience. I am in fact not really a great teacher as I don €™t have this trait but I can still build something with no plans, or drawings but by just having a vision.

Here is the coop but only 50% completed. Those that are considering surgery please research the cholesterol issue. Eggs have been around for thousands of years and humans have been eating them. I know it €™s not the new stuff or the stuff someone can makes lots of money from but it is good stuff in my opinion.

When it comes to food and making change towards foods that are more healing the best approach and my suggestion to others would be as follow. Just make small changes here and there over a very long period of time. Huge changes and deprivation are probably going to be your enemy. Deprivation is just too much pain for most to deal with as the human is constantly moving towards pleasure and away from pain. So if you are considering surgery some time in the distance future............now..............is the time to start making the small changes.

The best approach in my opinion is too slowly add healthful foods over time one at time. Eventually you crowd out the bad stuff. It might take a couple of years and it might take a lifetime as it is a never ending process but one is less apt to have to deal with the pain factor.

I know many are going to believe that something cheap and heavily marketed like whey protein is a good choice but I can tell you from my own experience it is not and real food as found in nature is absolutely a superior source of nutrition for the body.

My next step in my own journey was to build a chicken coop not quite done but almost there. Getting to this point was a long road and easy when done in steps. These eggs are a powerful source of nutrition one only needs to research very deeply and understand why sometimes information is not always given to others with their best interest in mind to understand this to be true.

BTW the small farmer that I purchased the chickens from was almost too nice and too honest so at first impression I was a little leery as he was someone new to me. But once I met him I knew he was genuine and actually made a very good connection. He €™s is a small farmer because he loves it €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦and that is the difference and is absolutely not drive by money.

Eating healthy healing foods that will help your body contend with any surgery you decide to pursue while also increasing your body €™s ability to perform both mentally and physically. It does not happen overnight but baby step over time lead to huge changes. Anyone can do it €¦ €¦ €¦it €™s that easy with baby steps.

Understanding the economics of the egg can help you understand why you might be healing slower, feeling lethargic, overweight or even why hair loss might be progressing faster then would be normal.

One of the farms I visited recently as I was looking for hens for my own backyard was a great learning experience. The farmer and the hens pictured below are fed a ration of €œLayer 16 € a chicken feed that is most comprised of GMO soy as it is the cheapest source of energy to grow any animal. The rest of the product includes animal by products etc. This farmer has about 1000 chickens and an average chicken eats about 2 ½ pounds of feed per week. A 50lb pound bag of Layer 16 runs about $10 total monthly cost for his flock about $2000. The organic feed runs about $60 so the total cost would be about $12,000. This represents a huge cost difference and one can easily understand why a farmer goes with the cheapest feed.

Problem here is that you in turn are consuming all the estrogen that is in the feed by way of eating the egg and let €™s not leave out the fact that the insecticide is built into the soybean itself. For the male body most especially to be consuming vast amounts of estrogen in my opinion is a very, very bad idea. This same example applies to much of the food system so labels such as all vegetarian feed, cage free, pasture fed do not mean much unless one truly investigates the complete diet of the animal product you are consuming should you choose to eat animal products.

Below the picture of farmer €™s hens are the hens I recently purchased eating a diet of fresh greens, vegetable scraps and some supplemental organic grain. Ideally the chicken would roam a pasture and pick through the soil for bugs, worms and greens. Even better is a set up where they are following cows and digging through the manure as it is a concentrated source of nutrients for them and ideally I would raise my own chickens from baby chicks. The egg becomes very high in vitamins D, K, E along with omega 3 €™s and some conjugated linoleic acid all having properties that heal the body and actually prevent cancer as opposed to all that estrogen which would be the opposite as well as all that estrogen makes it very difficult for a person to not be overweight or carry a high percentage of bodyfat.

The food does matter in the healing process I can state that as a fact through my own years of experience and blasting your body with estrogen while trying to lower dht levels probably is not the best approach for those using products to lower dht.

If you are suffering from something like depression it could very well be all that estrogen no different then women that take birth control pills who may suffer the same symptom. Before you dismiss it you would need to eliminate the exogenous estrogens from your diet and assess the result.............always worth a try because moving toward something better that is natural rarely causes harm.

4 awesome repairs with SMG
Just read this......what are you thoughts?
The type of foods people eat can affect their physical appearance, ranging from weight to skin. If you want to have healthier hair, include these 10 food items into your diet.
1. Whey Protein[/b]
Whey protein powder is a supplement that can help boost the health of your hair In order for hair stay healthy and shiny, it needs protein to produce keratin. When you are not getting enough protein, your hair can suffer. To make sure you are getting enough protein, add a little bit of whey protein to a meal.
2. Red Meat[/b]
Even though red meat has earned a reputation for being bad for the heart, a little bit of it can help boost hair health. Red meat is rich in protein and iron and the latter nutrient can help thicken hair.
3. Eggs[/b]
Eggs are a great source of protein. They also have some vitamin D and biotin, which is a B-complex vitamin that helps with the production of keratin.
4. Salmon[/b]
Fish with high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, are extremely healthy. Not only is salmon good for the heart, it is also good for the hair because it has biotin and protein.

5. Beer[/b]
When consumed in moderation, beer can boost the circulation to your scalp, leading to better hair growth. Beer contains silicon, a trace mineral that can reduce the brittleness of your hair.

6. Oysters[/b]
Oysters are rich in zinc, which produces proteins that can be found in hair and nails. Just one serving of oysters pack 74 grams of zinc.
7. Milk[/b]
Milk could potentially help prevent hair shedding. According to some studies, low vitamin D levels correlated to hair loss. Drinking vitamin-D fortified milk could possibly help prevent hair loss.
8. Blueberries[/b]
Blueberries have high levels of antioxidants. Antioxidants can protect your cells from damaging free radicals that can increase your levels of stress hormones and inflammation, which could hurt hair health.

9. Brazil Nuts[/b]
Brazil nuts are rich in selenium, which is a trace element that has protective powers against oxidative stress. Some studies have found that rats with selenium deficiency had sparse hair growth.

0. Almonds[/b]
Almonds are one of the healthiest nuts that people can eat. Not only are they good for your body, they are also good for your hair due to the high magnesium content. Magnesium can fight the effects of stress, which can take a toll on your hair and nails.
