The Sun is a good source of Vitamin D, as for foods there is oily fish like Salmon and Mackerel, eggs are good too.
What effects does this deficiency have on you.

Yea the fish will be good for you as it's hard to get some Sun here, shame rain and wind weren't good for you.

Vitamin D is oil soluble, which means you need to eat fat to absorb it. It is naturally found mainly in fish oils, fatty fish, and to a lesser extent in beef liver, cheese, egg yolks, and certain mushrooms. Boots do a very cheap good supplement too.

Thank you despite not wanting to use supplements, i have in fact started using a small dose supplement bought from Boots in addition to the nutritional advice so i will let you know how i go when i have a follow up blood test in a few months.

Plenty of eggs and fish , nuts for diet . I also take a one a day vitamin d soft gel I found on Amazon.
Vit D is hard to absorb via diet alone the recommended levels. There's a huge % of people in UK deficient due to the lack of sunshine here!
You may also want to try one sun bed per month in winter for 5 mins. Gives you a good vitamin D boost.

Thanks so much for the advice Boberto, your right about a lot of the population being deficient Damn weather lol. I wouldn't be too bothered if i was just deficient but my results stated i was severely deficient which i think i should address if possible. The sunbed idea sounds like a good plan thanks.

Eat foods with vitamin D and spend some time in sun. It's much better than supplements.

Sunlight is best for the body to make vitamin D. Also other common options involves salmon, trout, mackerel, tuna, and eel etc.
