Side-effects, stopping Fin and starting again

Hi, this might be a stupid question, but I'm wondering if there's any precedent for people suffering some side-effects with Finasteride, stopping the course, then starting again a few weeks or a month later and NOT suffering side-effects?

I don't really have an alternative to Finasteride at the moment, so I could really do with sticking with it, but about two weeks into my first course I started to suffer side-effects (nothing major, but concerning enough for me to stop). That was about a fortnight ago, all sides have stopped now so I was thinking about resuming the course, but I'm not sure if that's wise...

Any suggestions appreciated, cheers!

I know quite a few who lowered the dose to 1/2mg every 2 days and gradually increased it to 1mg per day.

P - if it helps, I stated taking Fin recently (1mg daily) for the first time (48 years old). Started getting an aching (not painful and noticed it more when i lay down) on the right side of my groin which initially concerned me, but it gradually faded after about three weeks. Am not about 6 weeks in.
What sort of sides have you experienced ?

You should rather consult a doctor. That's all I say.
