Recommended Shampoo - post transplant

I had my hair transplant 5.5 months ago and now nearly out of the shampoo the clinic gave me - and wondered if there is a particular shampoo that is recommended for retaining and growing hair following a transplant?

I know that shampoos with Sodium Lauryl Sulphate & parabens in it should be avoided - and I had been using Regenepure DR for a few months before the transplant which also is an anti DHT shampoo which contains 1mg of Ketoconazole. It says it helps with hair loss and regrowth……. here’s a link with more info on it; https://www.regenepure.com/
I don’t know if this is just marketing or whether these shampoos work?

I’m not using Finasteride (use Regaine) and would be interested in anybody's views and if there’s any other shampoos you think I should use as Regenepure DR is quite expensive (£30+ a bottle).

I use Pura D Or gold which leaves my hair feeling good. I’ve spoken to quite a few trichologist and Dermatologists about shampoo, they all agreed that shampoo does little to nothing in fighting hair loss. At best, they clean your scalp without the harsh chemicals. The ones with Ketoconazole help with dandruff.
I believe regenpure is a decent shampoo but it’s not going to prevent DHT.

Thanks and the Pura D'Or Gold shampoo is a good recommendation Bigmac, but would you mind me asking where you get it?, as going through the Pura website the postage costs from the US double the cost of the shampoo - I've tried Amazon but the label is slightly different to the bottle on the Pura website; which might be ok... but just thought would be wise to check with you first being a user (Pura D’Or Premium Organic Argan Oil Shampoo for Hair Loss Prevention (Gold Label), 16 Liquid Ounces Single : Amazon.co.uk: Beauty)

It is slightly cheaper. I also purchased the conditioner to go over 30 and qualify for free delivery.
You may even find a comparison shampoo cheaper if you can be bothered to check the ingredients.

Looking forward to trying it - its amazing what difference shampoo can make as having run out of the clinics shampoo and the Regenepure I've reverted to my previous (algan oil) shampoo, and after 2 washes my hair has gone flat and lifeless - and doesn't therefore look quite as full as it did!

So thanks again for your advice as there's so much product on the market claiming to retain or regrow hair you just get a bit lost with it, so yours is good advice for anyone who's had a hair transplant and looking for the right shampoo.

Post hair transplant the clinic would usually give some shampoo or tell you what you should use for a while. Baby shampoo is used a while as it has less chemicals in but after a few weeks you are ok to use what you like I think
