][/size]I ve decided to share my story here because,it's a problem I've suffered from for so long and couldn't find enough real experiences of women that would help me decide. I did learn so much from all the people who kindly shared all the details of their personal stories. So here I will share my experience with photos and update the progress as time goes on, in the hope of inspiring others with similar cases.
Background:
I am twenty 26 years old and I ve been suffering from a major recession in hairline, which make my forehead look giant. This is obviously not something any woman wants to have, let alone one in her twenties!!!
I have kind of a rough curly hair and so hiding my forehead was not always an easy thing to do. I have tried any DIY or off-the-shelf hair product you can think of, but I still got no significant results.
Until I finally decided to save up and have a hair restoration surgery to permanently fix my gigantic forehead. I searched for clinics around me but I didn t find too many choices, and given that I live in Qatar, it was not the cheapest thing to do.
So based on a lot of research online and on friends advice, I have decided to do it in Turkey. One of my co-workers has had hair transplantation surgery in one of the centers in Istanbul and was very happy with the whole procedure and the results. And plus it s not very far from Doha where I live.
Also one of the reason I followed my coworkers advice is because she said the surgeon conducts almost the whole operation himself. This was very reassuring from me because, I had read about some terrible failed cases as a result of incompetent medical staff
The operation:
So I contacted Huyam Hair and got an appointment for last week (April 12th). I was terrified from the whole procedure but I must admit now that I was overreacting and the whole intervention is much simpler than it looks. I got to the hospital at 9 am and started the operation around 40 minutes later (because they had to take photos, discussing the exact mark of the hairline.
Anyway, after injecting local anesthesia, the surgeon said that he will start with the incisions on my forehead to know exactly the number of grafts he needs to extracts, because it s a limited area and he needs to know the exact number of grafts to use in order to achieve the maximum density possible. This took about one and half hour. After this, the surgeon started extracting the hair follicles from the donor area, which took around two hours. After this, under the surgeon s supervision, the staff started to transplant the hair follicle into my forehead. This took another two hours.

¢ 2400 hair grafts transplanted
¢ 80 grafts per cm ? (which makes about 200 hairs per cm ?)
¢ Price 2700$ (including accommodation and ground transportation) from what I understand, this is their standard price for the maximum number of grafts, even if you need 4000 grafts the price will be the same.
