Long-Term Efficacy of Fin

I've been on 1mg Fin daily for 20-years at this point, since my early 20's. No discernible side effects. Fin and Nizoral are all I use.

It maintained my density for quite a long time, but over time I've noticed the hairs becoming thinner, and more recently a loss of density. I had a good shed about 3 months back, and now I'm noticing quite a bit of thinning.

Does Fin lose it's efficacy over time or is my MPB just catching up with me? Would increasing the dose of Fin have any beneficial effect?

Regarding next steps, I'm hoping to get on Dut 0.5mg day and either oral or topical Minox. Prefer the oral for ease, but want the most effective results.

It could be normal shedding. You should wait for 8 to 12 months to see the recovery of the shedded hair so that you can be sure of the efficacy of finasteride. Then you can decide on additional medication etc.

Thanks. Is there any added benefit by increasing the dosage from 1mg/day to say 1.5mg/day?

I think it is just the natural process that the slowing down of loss gradually becomes noticeable after a long period of time. It could be you need to try DUT added now.
