Help with cobblestone 4.5 months post op

Hey everyone, I am 4.5 months post op and extremely anxious about the cobblestoning that has began to form around each of my grafts. I have been trying my best to massage/reduce scarring through use of oils etc. What is the best way to intervene to ensure this flattens over time, such that I can resurface in 12 months time?

At 4.5 months post op, it is disheartening to be so depressed / anxious with my results, rather than enjoying new growth.

Thanks much

It’s difficult to say if it’s cobblestoning. Does the area feel bumpy when you touch it?
The grafts in your hairline are multi grafts meaning they contain more than one hair. Because of this they stand out more. The front rows should all be single hair grafts.
Do you have a picture showing the graft placement on the day of surgery?
How many grafts did you receive?

Indeed bumpy and doubles, this is ruining my mental health. I plan on having the entire front row removed now. How can I intervene to help the bumps?

Sorry to see you have this suspected cobblestoning… it usually happens when grafts have been placed too shallow or the graft is too big for the incision site… Laser surgery is an option but has risks of scarring or damaging grafts… Getting them removed would be my guess for the best option.
Who was the clinic that did this?

Does your hairline have the same type of grafts all the way across? I would like to know the clinic name too!

Bullitnut has covered why the cobblestoning happens. Removing the grafts is an option but it does come with risks. Another solution is placing more grafts in front and around to hide them. I’m assuming your donor is still in a healthy condition.

Sorry to see your position. You are going to need to find a clinic specialist in this type of problem. Maybe a couple of clinics as you have the grafts and the skin. I have read a fraxel treatment maybe able to help with the skin bumps. But no guarantees and I would imagine may affect the hair near by.

Unfortunately this is very poor work that will require a second surgery to repair.

If removing the grafts and reimplanting, can this be done in one session? I’m planning on seeing the top surgeon in London for repair. Regarding my donor, it’s in good shape but there’s small patches which I’ll want fixed. Can this be done in one session? Additionally, the grafts were implanted in rows, I’m looking to have the entire front row removed and grafts moved back—does anyone know whether something like this is feasible?
This was horrible work done by Dr Lazizi in London

I’m planning on seeing Dr Raghu Reddy for the repair—have a consultation with him next month. Do you know how long I’ll have to wait after the first procedure to get this fixed? Will I have to wait the entire 12 months or can intervention happen sooner at times?

Not to sure if advisable to do it before 12 months but it should be doable taking out the unsightly large crafts.
Jon had grafts removed from his.

Thanks. I requested an initial consult after reading that. Do you know how long it takes to schedule something with Feriduni

You will need to contact the clinic directly and ask them how far in advance they are booked up.

Do you have any pictures from the day of surgery? A before picture, immediately post op and any showing the donor extractions.
What’s your age?

These are post op, nothing pre that I can share. I am 25 turning 26 soon. I’ll document the entire repair once I get something booked in with Feriduni.

Thanks for the additional pictures. Does your hairline have the pluggy look in the centre?
How has your donor healed? Is it looking patchy at all? All the extractions have been taken from the sweet spot of your donor.
At 25, you’re still very young and need to proceed with caution for repair work. Dr Feriduni`s patients have documented some excellent repair stories on here which should give you confidence you’ve made a good choice if you proceed with him.

It does, every graft in those two silly rows is a multi. I plan on having those rows removed and put further back to increase density on temples. Donor has small two thin patches which might need to remedied as well

Who made the actual incisions? What part of the surgery was carried out by the doctor?
Without seeing an immediate before picture it’s hard to fathom why this sparse 2 rows were done. Was this meant to add density to your existing hairline or to lower it slightly?
