I am looking at getting a hair transplant I've had several consultations two in Manchester and one in Leeds I've had three prices £6100 £6000 and £4000 all for the same treatment I was all set to go with the £6100 (has offered me a discount to £5600 if he can use my photos) then I got a special off from another clinic for £4000 is this to good to be true I've read some bad reviews and some good but the same is true for all hair treatment clinics has anyone got any experience with hair dr in Leeds, UK hair transplant clinic Manchester or harley Street health care its a big sum of cash and I want to make the right decision any help would be appreciated

How many grafts have each clinic quoted you for ? Have you had consultation and been given a full an honest assessment ? What are your expectations?
What is your available donor ?

You`ve lost quite a bit of hair so far. Chances are you’ll lose more. Are you on any type of hair loss prevention regimen? Things like Finasteride or Minoxidil. What is your donor like and how many grafts have you been quoted?
There are quite a few patient reviews from the clinics you mention. Ask these guys questions, doNot rush into a surgery because you’ve had a special offer.

I think its 2200 grafts (apparently the most that can be done) 8ve had a few consultation all have said the same thing I've been on fenisteride for two years ... I'm not sure what available donor is sorry

I'm on fenisteride and I've just ordered oral minoxidil...
I'm not sure what donor is
is that the back of my head? If so it's quite good I've been quoted for 2200 grafts. I can find info on harley street and hair doctor up to now I can't find anything on hair transplant uk

You’ll need to ask who will do your HT, the doctors name at Harley street and Uk clinics use multiple doctors. Then you can research the doctor.
Donor is the hsir on the back snd sides that will be transferred to the front of your head.
Have you had any design/planned hairline etc sent you you?
Because you don’t know that much about hair transplants I suggest you give the meds another 6 months and use this time to conduct your research, educate yourself and then you’ll be in a better position to make your own informed decision.

The back and sides of my hair are really good it's just the top that has issues.. unfortunately I'm not in a position I can wait any longer the Harley street surgeon has come back with alot of negative results so that's out the window now

Ultimately, it’s your decision on how you want to proceed. What about the design of your hairline. Remember, this is something that has the potential to last a lifetime with your hairline being right there in view.

DO NOT a take a procedure because they have offered a deal.
With the greatest respect, reading your comments - you have a lot to learn about hair transplants. The good news is that you have to come to this great forum.
Take a step back, spend time on here to get educated and I’m sure in a few months time you will appreciate why.
Being totally honest , if you have had consultations and you have not been given your available donor and expectations then for me it’s a poor consultation. Trust me I’ve been there ! Thankfully I took my time and used this and other forums.

You should consult with Dr Ball at The Maitland Clinic or Dr Bessam Farjo if I were you.

They are a little bit more expensive but top class.

In all honesty I think Dr Farjo and Ball would send you away to do some research anyway. they would be able to tell from your lack of questions that you need to look into it more before making a decision like that. These are probably the only two doctors you should be looking at in the UK Imho

Hi I have had some brilliant reports about Dr farjo I've added some pictures hope these help I honestly don't know what questions I should be asking I'm quite gullible and think someone providing a service should be competent. I realise that's not the case and don't know what to research other than to Google hair transplants.

I think you need to take more time on your research first before deciding to proceed with a hair transplant surgery, of course budget is a factor to consider, but you need first to understand what you getting into, from the few pictures you shared it looks like you're NW3 maybe NW4 class, youll need around 3000-3500 to cover the frontal area (this is before taking measurements).

You have Caucasian blond thin hair, meaning you'll need more grafts to create good density, natural hairline transplant consists of single grafts with smaller diameter to create natural result, so you'll need a lot of single grafts, then to place double and triple grafts behind the hairline, of course there are more factors to consider, probably you'll loose more hair in the future so make sure you'll choose a clinic with a high skilled doctor who knows to preserve the donor area with a gentle punch work without overharvesting it.
