When undergoing surgery it’s important that the grafts are placed at the correct angles. Different areas of the scalp require different angles and directions to mimic nature and provide the best possible coverage with a natural result.
When grafts begin to grow they can be wiry or slightly at a different angle which in most circumstances will correct itself once the hair has been through one or two growth cycles and matures.
If the hair is pointing or growing in a completely wrong direction chances are it’s been subjected to excess trauma, not placed correctly or the incision has been made at an incorrect angle. If this is the scenario, the hair will continue to grow at these angles and won’t correct itself.
