Hello Everyone, this forum has helped me a lot
I have such soft hair and I often don’t see transplants similar to my hair. Do you think I could be a candidate that would get a success?

Hi Andy. Do you have a picture of the back of your head to show your main donor hair supply? Your hair is very fine which when transplanted won`t provide the same illusion as someone with thicker calibre hair.
Are you on any type of hair loss regimen such as Finasteride/minoxidil?
What are your expectations if you were suitable for surgery?

Hi Bigmac, it is short at the moment so going to grow it out but I'm told I have a decent donor area.
You're right my hair is fine so not expecting anything too thick as that would be natural for me anyway.
Not on any medication - what would you go for? Looking to try minoxidil but read something about heart side effects??
My expectations I think would be to hopefully make things more even and add a touch more density

All meds regardless what they are have side effect warnings. I have been on Finasteride since 2005. It has really helped my hair. Quite a few people have positive results with oral minoxidil these days. If you get a consultation with a clinic ask them about the meds. Without meds you could continue losing hair at a faster pace than without them.
You could possibly go for a higher hairline with thin coverage but dense enough to give an illusion of fullness.
Seeing your hair longer would be useful.

Those are the comparatively resistant parts of your scalp, though your hair seems a bit thin even there for a good hair transplant. I second meds if you don't experience any side effects.

Cheers lads, oral or topical better do you think? And what is a good starting point dose wise?

It’s your choice re which is best for you. Oral is easier as it’s just popping a pill daily. Topical is applying the foam or liquid once or twice a day.
2.5 mg daily for oral
5% for topical.
