H&W/NuYuInk Hair Thickening Procedure

Our consultant Joe aka Jotronic last week was at the 2013 ISHRS Conference in San Francisco. He went to help present some surgical patients for Dr. Wong but also spent a lot of time in the booth set up by Beauty Medical. Before the show he had our tricopigmentation tech, Carmen, fill in HALF of his crown so that all attendees could see a side by side comparison of what SMP can do for a thickening effect.

Thank you Bevrotti I thought it was pretty cool. I have also had SMP to my crown and donor scars over the last couple of weeks I should get round to posting my photos soon.

Badger- It is part of H&W, two of our techs that perform it were trained by Milena and it is her temporary technique that we use. I have been very impressed with what I have seen whilst in Vancouver and how it has appeared to give me extra density.

Hi Badger,

Here are some and I will add more when I get the chance. To sum up I had coverage over the entire mid scalp and crown directly behind the area where I have had new grafts placed right down to the rim of my Norwood 6 pattern. The whole thing took around 6 hours and these first after photos were taken immediately after so the scalp still is a little red in places. This settled down the following day.

We did go back and add a little further density in places that needed it two days later and also deal with my old scarring from my previous transplants in the 90's.

The reason my head is shaved so short is because I was 10 days post op from a transplant in the frontal area. I have no intention of wearing my hair this length but it just goes to show that even when the hair is worn so short SMP can add a huge benefit.

This photo in the after is taken just after the first SMP session but the before is taken at the clinic 7 days earlier which is why there is a little more scabbing in the transplanted area.

These two photos are 3 weeks post op and around 11 days after the second SMP session once I am home. You can clearly see in the second photo the difference in the mid scalp and crown where there is far less hair than in the frontal area but with the SMP it appears to be the opposite.

It looks like they are doing good work Garageland. I have been researching Hairtransplants for a while now but this type of procedure may just give me a little extra time before i need to bite the bullet and have a HT.

The good thing about the procedure that it is temporary and will tide you over for a while. There are a few places that are doing this procedure now depending on where you are located. If you are in the UK then head to see Milena at Beauty Medical in Milan.

How long do you think yours will hold up dude before you need a top up and has Joe seen any signs of fading yet do you know?......they both Look great by the way!!

Hi Bullit,

I am 4 months and it has faded a bit from the first month and I guess that I will need to have a top up around the year mark at the rate it is fading. I just checked my one month to 4 month update and it seems to have faded but not a huge amount.
