I`m interested to know what you find out about this Ricky. There seems to be a lot more to hair transplantation than is talked about elsewhere.

Bigmac, I just read your post. I know how it feels to be at the end of major damage to the scalp. Ridging, cobblestoning, destroyed density, donor decimations, permanent shock losses. Wreckless high density approaches, using chunkier grafts, informed of lateral slit but got something else. Was told will be showcase but got something else. I am trying to find a way out of this nightmare. As a war veteran, I didn’t need this added to my plate, but it is and I've been going at it for a long time trying to find a way out of the nightmare induced upon me. What are the best approaches to repair? Who is willing to take a shot at fixing? How successful can this be?
As far as the story goes, it can be told. It’s documented, audio available, emails available, texts, and so forth. At this point, I'm really upset at what I've gone through and the statements made for me to do this and that. The other choice is media and investigative journalism.

It is definitely not fun being a repair patient but to have it mess with work, family, relationships, going out, being in pictures, everything, is far more $$$$$$$$$ then what was originally paid.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. When hair transplants don`t work for whatever reasons, be it sloppy work, untrained surgeon or staff, the x-factor etc it can be devastating for the patient. You rightly point out about the risks involved. Then you have the other scenario you mention, which doctor is willing to take a shot at fixing you or making it more acceptable. I`ve witnessed in the past where a doctor has tried to repair a patient, unfortunately the patient was not happy, that patient then turned on the repair doctor saying they had failed, made it worse or words to that effect. This is a concern for doctors.
My goal is to fully educate patients, prospective patients and help repair patients find what is available as a viable option, if possible. We have a patient for this repair but I`d like to know more about your situation, maybe I can reach out to some doctors to see if I can get some help for you.

Having been a repair patient myself I know first hand what it feels like when your dream turns into a nightmare. I`ve worked tirelessly helping educate people in the hope they do enough research to make an informed decision, ultimately leading to a successful hair transplant.
However, things don`t always turn out that way. Some patients end up in a worse situation after a hair transplant than before they went ahead. There are many who are not happy with their results but there is a fine line between unhappy and poor outcomes. Someone who may need a small touch up could be classed as a minor repair patient if the clinic is at fault. There are many reasons and scenarios that I won`t go into on this thread.

What I`m wanting is someone who has an obvious poor result for whatever reason. The clinic who did your surgery will not be mentioned. I will forward your details to the doctors who will look at each case to see if they are in a position to help. It will depend on things like donor availability, scar tissue etc.

The only thing I need to ask in return is that you are willing to tell your story publicly. This will be to illustrate what can go wrong and hopefully help others who are researching.

I will be available to assist and support you if needed.

I’m basically on my own right now because of dodgy contact from my surgeon post-op. Looking for general advice at this point. If you are reaching out to doctors I’d be curious as to what they think, again being very early. Thanks.

You could try having some consultations to see what other doctors think but I`d guess most will advise you have to wait it out now and see how it turns out. Ask the doctor who did your surgery why you got the graft numbers as you were expecting more.
