Final hair loss pattern

Hi, I am aware that it is difficult to predict the final hair loss pattern with certainly as no Dr has a crystal ball.

But let's take a NW2 case who is over age 40 without the help of medication. He has temples recession but otherwise still a solid head of hair with good donor density. Is it then not reasonable to rule out the higher NW cases (from NW5 upwards) as a final pattern? Or at least predict that these cases are very unlikely to occur.

If you agree with the above, let's further assume that the patient will end up as NW3, how many HTs would he need over his lifetime to maintain a good appearance?

Alternativerly, in case the patient ends up as a NW4, how many HTs would he need over his lifetime to maintain a good appearance?

Thanks a lot for your views.
