Balding or paranoid? 26 years old

Hi,

Recently I noticed that when my hair is wet from showering, a rather large amount of my scalp is visible. I'm not sure if it's always been like this or if I just haven't noticed it before, and I'm trying to figure out if it's the early stages of male pattern baldness. Most of the men in my family eventually lose their hair but not until their 30s/40s. From what I can tell, my hairline hasn't receded and I haven't been shedding hair. Please let me know what you think, I attached pictures of my hair both dry and wet. The cowlick has been there for ages.

Looks to me like you have fine hair but certainly a look of a full head of hair when it's dry. Enjoy what you've got and worry if your head of hair looks bald when its dry, not when it's wet. Most people's scalp shows when it's wet.

Your hair does look fine. As janna says, wet hair will expose more scalp.
It may be worth while seeing a Ht doctor or a dermatologistt to have your hair checked over.

If you are thinning, you should consider the use of hair loss prevention meds considering your family history.

Have you noticed if your hair was like this when wet growing up?

If it was then it’s fine and just naturally thin hair. If you couldn’t see scalp as much as you do now when you were younger it. Might be thinning slightly.

Your hair looks great when it’s dry, most people’s hair look thinner when wet.if you have a strong family history maybe it’s better to stat Hairloss prevention medications now.
