Carl what is going on with your Umar procedure and why are you not waiting for the end result at 12 months?

Im only 4 months out from my procedure with Dr Umar. Im looking into SMP because of financial reasons. The procedure with Dr Umar (2000 grafts) was $16000.00 USD. That was a huge shot to my budget. Im thinking with SMP i can fill in the scars and thicken up the other areas on top. My crown is especially thin. I know you're not a big fan of SMP but i simply can't afford another 16k!

Okay Carl I can understand what you are saying. I still think the better option is to have smaller procedures over time. The yield is better and the cost is a bit more manageable. Maybe even look into going overseas as there are plenty of choices.

Right now my scar area is equivalent to yours maybe a little worse, could go either way. My plan is to grow the area long tie it into a ponytail and not use any concealer in that area. Have you thought about doing this? I think with your lighter hair it would be even easier for you.

Hi Carl, It looks like you are a good candidate and SMP could really help you hide the scars and thicken all up.

If it was FUE you had back in Feb there is no need to wait longer, FUE scars are usually ok after 3 months and while the implanted area will of course grow much hair its certainly possible to help you by filling in and creating a more even look, as long as all is done carefully there should be no issue.

Thanks Salvar, I've decided to go ahead with the procedure at the Vinci clinic here in Miami. For now i'm only going to do the crown and the scars. Dr Umar suggest i wait later to do the front (where i had the transplant) until its been a full year.

Carl looking forward to you posting a picture update after this procedure.........since you are an independent patient not associated with the industry and picture updates are crucial for others to make an informed decision.

Hope it works out for you.

I look forward to seeing your SMP results Carl! It looks as though you've had a rough time with your previous HT procedures over the years.
Wishing you all the best with your repair at Vinci ;)

Thanks

the pain was a 1 to 2 on a scale of 10 when they were doing the crown. But the pain level was a 7 to 8 when they were doing the scars! I actually had to ask her to stop a couple of times to get a break from the pain. She was nice about it and worked with me. I will be posting the before and after pics in about 2 weeks.;)
