Harley Street Healthcare Manchester

Hi Guys I really could do with some help/advice..

I've recently booked in for an 800 Fue at Harley street Healthcare Manchester. £2500 for 800 grafts. All the original reviews I saw were great, I've stumbled across some worrying things on here. I've paid £1250 deposit for the end of March. Spoke to Hakeem who booked me in and I was happy to not have a full consultation with a doctor as I literally just require my hairline topping up/straightening nothing major. Has anyone been on here and gone through the full process with them? I've only actually came across one bad review but seems to be a fair bit of negativity about the clinic on here. I believe everywhere can have horror stories so I'm not to worried just looking for anyone who has had their transplant done at the clinic and would like to know about their experience.
I've attached some pics
Thanks in advance

Hi Lewis.
What Doctor will be doing the procedure?
Is the doctor employed full time by them or a freelance doctor?
Has a doctor seen your pictures and told you how many grafts you need?
Maybe ask them why they used images from other clinics and pretend they were their patients.

Hi

The answer is I don't know to most of your questions. Yes I sent pictures over they said just for the hairline to be straightened up it will be 500-800 grafts recommended. I opted for 800 as I want it more dense and the hair thicker.

I don't know anything about pictures from other clinics. I'm just reading some things on here and it's worrying me.. I've sent 1250 over already now

It's your decision if you want to go ahead with them without knowing who will do your surgery.

The doctors seem to change quite often.

Ok thanks

What do you recommend i Do? There are lots of good reviews and a couple bad..

Does 2500 pounds for 800 grafts seem like a normal price?

Do the reviews have documented patient journeys with pictures to show they are real reviews?
Anyone can leave reviews on review sites.
Find out who the doctor is. Then research them to find out what their results are like.
The price you've been quoted is a good price for the UK. Usually £3 to £5 per graft is the average.

How old are you?
Have you had your hair checked to see if you're thinning elsewhere?

I have asked who the doctor is waiting for a reply.. yes I'm not thinking anywhere else at all just slightly receding..

Yeah unfortunately a lot of uk clinics aren't that good. I personally wouldn't go to them but £1250 is quite a hit to take. I know clinics that take deposits but never heard of half. I didn't even have to pay one for HDC in cyprus.

Dr Munir also works at Hair Growth Centre which is another place that takes other clinic patient photos and pretends they are their patients.
I`m not sure how capable he is, you will have to research him.
Paying a deposit of half is nothing unusual.

Below is an example of HGC falsely claiming a Hasson & Wong patient is one of theirs.

I've researched what I can about him, there's videos on YouTube straight after the transplant with his patients and they look good to me. Yes looks like he works for a few different companies, I couldn't get an appointment for almost 3 months so surely that's a good sign?

Personally, I would want to see the final results, not just straight after surgery. I think he may be employed by the NHS, if so, hair transplants could be just a sideline and not his specialty. This may be why there`s no availability for 3 months as he is working elsewhere. You could ask if HT is his only job/profession.
Out of curiosity, was this the only consult you had?

It says on the website he's done over a thousand hair transplants in the last few years. No i had a few, a couple in Turkey but wrote that off due to covid and I want it done ASAP. Then I had another 2 quotes off places in the UK all said 500-800 grafts to restore my hairline and prices varied by about £600.

If he has done that many hair transplants surely he would have results to display.
It says he is a global trainer in hair transplants. Could you ask what doctors he has trained?

You could ask Hair Growth Centre what doctors you get for their Groupon offer? Not that I would advise anyone to use Groupon for a hair transplant.

Google search the image.
Looking at HGC Instagram he has just done an fue. The guys head is covered in blood.
He is also talking without his mask on during these covid regulations.

I don't have Instagram so can't see the video would like to see it though, the ones I've seen on YouTube looked good immediately after, there's lots of videos of after his treatments and I haven't read anything bad about him yet online. I've seen good reviews but who knows if they are real
