Looking good buddy!!!! I know exactly what you mean when you say how a HT has made you feel. It’s totally changed my confidence around others and the fact styling my hair is fun now, is worth every penny.

Your frontal appearance looks so much better. It’s good to hear it’s provided you with a confidence boost and makes you a lot happier. Styling your hair where there was none before is a good feeling.
Still quite a few months to go for the final result but so far so good.
Here’s a quick reminder of the old and new you.
Thanks for the update.

Thanks BM. Love it when you put the before/afters on. Makes me realise how far I’ve come and, as you say, still plenty of time to go too!

Glad it helps you. It is easy to forget how we once looked with thinning or bald hair. The feel good factor of having a new look is priceless.

How's it looking now? Has there been more noticeable growth?
Have people you know commented on the new look?

Hi BM,

Continual thickening I feel. Just over 8 months and am still feeling some new hairs sprouting through.

I need a haircut, it’s the end of the day and I’ve not long got back from a run, but here is a pic near a window. My hair goes blonder this time of year too!

One chap at work, who has a receding hairline, asked if I had something done, but oddly nobody else has (to my face). I’m seeing some friends next month and think they’ll say something.

Odd, I didn’t want to advertise it, but I’m surprised nobody has said anything!

I’m looking at pictures and I have a better hairline than 15 years ago.

I’m genuinely happy considering I’m ‘only’ 8 months in.

I’m not going to lie, I was concerned when I originally posted and a few people commented that there wasn’t enough grafts for the area, but I think that Dr Arshad was taking this into consideration whilst extracting. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. As I said before, he had to search out singles due to all of the multiple graft extractions.

I’m not planning to use any fibres anytime soon. I’m not discounting it, I just don’t feel the need.

Is my hair as thick as it was at 18?
No, because that’s an impossibility, but I was fully informed by the clinic on a level of expectation required with this process.

I was extremely careful post op regarding aftercare, spraying saline every 30 min religiously, even through the night. No alcohol, caffeine, spicy food etc. And most importantly keeping ridiculously hydrated. I think this is the simplest step people can take that is often overlooked.

Looking good. I also wonder how much exercise helps - I’m no doctor but you’d imagine getting your heart rate up would help blood circulation too.

Eating healthily (with high protein), keeping hydrated, being careful generally with protecting the grafts most certainly can’t do anything but help, and it sounds like you were diligent in keeping up with your side of the deal post surgery!

When paying out that much money, a few of months clean living
A) Helps your recovery and chances of a successful outcome

and

B) Helps you recoup a small percentage of the cost!!
