This patient has had both FUE and Strip in the past, not at Prohairclinic.
Unfortunately he could not get a good cosmetic result and both procedures left him with Linear scarring and some FUE white dots.

Since there was not enough donor area left he decided to give SMP a try.

After pictures taken 3 months after his initial of 4 sessions total.

Sorry but that hairline just looks odd. Plus, do all of these people come in demanding super defined hairlines? 80% of the hairlines I've seen with SMP are way too defined and look fake.

I too find the hairlines quite 'straight' on the pictures.
However in real life due to motion, light changes, distance changing etc it really looks much better.
Some of the guys that come for follow up treatments have gotten remarks as 'did you have a transplant?'.

We tried to use more 'shark teeth' design like is often done using hair transplantation to make the hairline smoother. However that does not work with SMP, it looks unnatural.

SMP is an illusion of hair, you get very nice results and for some it is the only option left besides being completely bald.

Maybe with lighter color or different depth? I've seen some pictures of Milena's clients without sharp hairlines.

good question.

In fact what happens is that we treat 2-3 times. The results are good after 2-3 sessions.
However a lot of guys just want it more defined and darker. We let the patient choose wether or not they want to proceed with follow up treatment.
That is IMHO a nice approach and a great advantage of this technique.

Here is an example of a 'light' version of SMP.
By light I mean that only 2 sessions where performed.

In this case the patient has not shaved his hair and clearly you can see why you need to keep a shaved look after doing SMP 'shaved look'.

Come on, we can hardly see the delimitation between his hair and his skin on the sides. I still don't understand why I've been refused twice as a SMP candidate by prohairclinic. You should put on your website that you don't accept blond people, or blond people who have been visiting Dr. De Reys. I don't know what's going on here.

But maybe it's a good thing, that hairline does look ridiculous.

The SMP was not performed by PHC, it was done in Italy.

He was happy with the SMP, but he wanted more hair to make it look more in synch with the rest of the scalp.

He opted for a young, youthfull hairline. Some will like this design, some will not. However we do give several options and finally after fully being informed the patient chooses what he believes is right for him (within our ethical limits)

2500 grafts where performed using low density since coverage was the goal.
