The 2016 Mount Sinai Spring Symposium, entitled Advances in Facial Reconstruction and Cosmetic Surgery, included a weekend series of specialized cosmetic surgical lectures as well as hands-on training for physicians on cadaveric models.
Dr. Wesley discussed the benefits and shortcomings of follicular unit extraction (FUE) to his fellow physicians as well as his current findings with platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments for hair loss. Citing general peer-reviewed journal article studies coupled with empiric observations from hundreds of patients in his own practice, Dr. Wesley described in detail the ways in which both procedures can benefit specific patients.
