Can Fraxel damage hair follicles?

While perusing the internet forums i noticed some guys talking about the use of Fraxel type lazers to improve the appearance of bad strip scars prior to having mht. Does this type of lazer damage or destroy hair follicles?

From what i understand most laser hair removal lasers target melanin which gives hair its dark colour but Fraxel lasers target water in the skin and can be safely used on hair bearing skin.

I think Fraxel will cut the hair but it won't damage the follicle and it should grow back dude.

I have also read that Fraxel could damage transplanted hair though if it is not deep enough*nl but for donor scars this sould not be an issue.

If it damages or not depends on the frequency of the laser, when for example doing a tattoo removal with YAG laser it is not possible to damage the hair as long as you are using the correct frequency, the Fraxel I dont know unfortunately.
