Advice please on patchy results

Hi all,

I had my hair transplant in December 2019, I had 6000 grafts which was my front hairline, middle and crown.

Fast forward nearly 2 years I'm not completely happy with my results. My hair when brushed looks fine but I'm covering patchy areas.

I'm thinking of getting my hair re-done but disappointed that after being advised by my Dr that my results would be "fantastic"

Anyone else noticed patchy areas?

I will attach pictures..

Have you pictures showing your hair before surgery and are you on any hair loss prevention regimen?

Hi

No pics prior to hand but first pic is 6 weeks in, second pic is roughly 6 months in then last one is now. However it is fine if I brush my hair but when wet it is patchy in the middle and I couldn't get say a buzz cut number 1 all over

I had no real problems in the middle of my hair but got done as it was advised I might need at a later date, it was get it all done now type of decision.

To add I'm not on any hair loss prevention programme.

Do you think this the reason for the patches?

I was under the impression getting 6000 grafts would prevent this issue as my hair was okay in the middle but done so as a preventative measure further down the line

You may be losing hair still. As well as the native hair on top, donor hair can be affected by DHT too. The placement of grafts in the mid scalp is not as dense as the front.

I have seen quite a few who were not on meds and went on to lose more hair after their transplant.
